Sarawak

Sarawak is situated in the north-west of East Malaysia (2° 30′ 0″ N, 113° 15′ 0″ E2.5, 113.25) and is the largest state in the country. The administrative capital of the state is Kuching Sarawak coastal area which is rich of oil and liquid natural gas is contributing to the development of state’s economy. Beside that, there are also cultivation of Sarawak black pepper and white pepper, rubber, sago, copra, bird’s nest and timber. Malaysia produce about 27,550 tonnes of black pepper a year and 90% of it is produced in Sarawak.

Tourism also plays an important part in its economy due to its richness of natural flora and fauna such as Mulu mountain that has been declared as World Heritage; its untouched rain forest and other uniqueness of this state.
