Terengganu

Terengganu is situated in the north-east of Peninsular Malaysia (4° 45′ 0″ N, 103° 0′ 0″ E4.75, 103). To its north-west is Kelantan and the south-west is Pahang. Kuala Terengganu is both the state and royal capital of Terengganu.

Though the fish industry is one of the main economic components, the oil and gas industry in its coastal areas play a significant role towards the state’s economic development. Today, the state’s government is moving towards the diversification of basic economy from small industries to manufacturing industries.
